Yes. Planomy keeps your plan on this device, not with us, and nothing leaves your device by default. A free account can sync 1 plan, and Plus can sync unlimited plans. You can also encrypt your plan before it leaves your device, so we can't read it.

No. The Free plan needs no account, no email, and no credit card. Open Planomy and start planning — your plan is saved on this device. You only need an account if you want syncing, sharing, or plan check-ins: a free account syncs 1 plan, and Plus syncs unlimited plans.

No. Bank sync is off by default and no part of the projection needs it — type your figures in, or import a CSV or OFX/QFX statement file, on either plan. Bank sync is the one Plus feature that uses a third party: your bank credentials are entered with Plaid and are never seen or stored by Planomy, the linked transactions are held on our server in readable form rather than end-to-end encrypted, and you can disconnect at any time.

No. Free is the complete planner, not a trial, and it never expires — net-worth forecasts, spending compared with your plan, goals, and every calculator, with no limit on entries and no time limit. The one thing that uses message credits is the AI plan assistant (1 credit = 1 message): signed-in Free accounts get 5 each week, and you can buy more anytime — everything else in the planner itself is included. Plus adds a monthly top-up to 50 credits, unlimited synced plans, and bank sync when available.

The AI assistant that reads your plan and answers questions about it uses message credits: 1 credit = 1 message. Signed-in Free accounts get 5 each week. Plus subscribers get a monthly top-up to 50 credits, and purchased credits above 50 carry over. Credits never expire. Anyone signed in can buy one-time message packs in the app — 10 for $1, 50 for $4 (save 20%), or 100 for $7 (save 30%). If you're not signed in, you get a small daily allowance to try it out. Running out only affects the assistant — forecasts, budgeting, and calculators keep working normally.

Nothing is lost. Your plan stays on this device, so cancelling Plus stops syncing your extra plans and using bank sync, and drops you back to the Free plan — all planning features, sharing, and plan check-in reminders remain available. Only the monthly message allowance stops; any messages you've already been granted or purchased stay in your balance and never expire, and you can still buy more packs anytime. You can always download and restore a full copy of your plan, so your data is never locked in.

Then you keep the whole planner, indefinitely, for nothing. There's no expiry, no nag wall, and no feature that switches off later. The only real risk of staying account-free is the same as any browser data: clearing site data or losing the device loses the plan. Download a copy from the app whenever you've made progress — or create a free account, which syncs 1 plan so it survives the device.

Plus is $6 per month or $60 per year (two months free versus monthly). This is introductory launch pricing and may change over time, but the core planner will always be free. You can cancel any time and keep using everything except unlimited syncing and bank sync; sharing and plan check-in reminders remain available with your account.

Yes. Cancel any time from the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you already paid for, and you are not charged again after that. Because access continues through the period you paid for, we don't provide partial refunds for unused time — see the Terms for details.

Yes. All of Planomy's calculators are free forever with no account — financial independence number, retirement drawdown, compound growth, mortgage payoff, capital gains tax, and more. They're part of the free tier and are never gated behind Plus.
